Met up with this sweet family back in December for their family session. Our first date had to be rescheduled but I’m glad when we met up Jessica’s parents were able to be a part of the session as well since they don’t live in the area. My beautiful friend Jess is expecting Baby #3 next month and I dragged her out to get some belly shots of her. I remember being almost nine months pregnant and you really don’t feel beautiful, let alone even want to get your pictures taken. And that’s just how she was feeling, but I knew she wouldn’t regret it in the end! Because I think it is one of the most important times to capture in your life, it’s a time you don’t get back again if you decide not to have any more children and really once baby is here you do forget all about the pregnancy and the feelings that come with it! There’s something so special and so beautiful about this time in a woman’s life…..I just love capturing it!

I’m finally getting around to blogging these as she was sending save the date cards for the New Year and I think it’s safe to say everyone has received theirs…..
She had a feeling that it was going to happen soon and when I saw on her Facebook status that they were going away for the weekend I had an inkling that she would be getting engaged and indeed he popped the question! SO happy for them and SO honored she asked me to photograph their engagements! She’s the face behind making all my high school senior girls beautiful with their makeup during their session. It’s a new year and I guess it’s time to update the blog with a new post…..I’ve been enjoying the time away from my computer, my office and just hanging out with my girls. It’s been really nice, and I do have a few posts to blog from some wonderful families I photographed right before the holidays. But I’ll start the new year’s post off by wishing my baby, baby, a very Happy 1st Birthday!
One year ago today, we were SO BLESSED with her! She’s the happy, smiley little one that has completed our family and made it a party of six. I really can’t believe a whole year has flown by, it feels like yesterday that I was carrying her in my belly! I sure have enjoyed having her a part of our family and the big girls always say, “What would life be like without her?!” So today, please help me wish my baby a Happy 1st Birthday! She has made my life and heart so full! We also had another birthday in our family too the other day, my ” other baby” of the big girls just turned fourteen. Yes, two teenagers, a toddler and a one year old in the house…..they keep us busy that’s for sure!
